GULL
An unrequested existence has been foisted upon you.
You hatch. You learn to feed, fight and flee, and then you have one gull's lifetime to decide what it was for: friends, foes, a lover, or the sea alone. Every choice is permanent. There is no correcting a life; there is only living a different one on the next run. It ends when the gull dies, and the game tells you, plainly, what that life cost.
Fly by holding to soar and releasing to glide — the longer you hold off, the more it stoops. Turn with the arrow keys. Forage across land, air, water and underwater; where the food is is learned, never marked. The rest of the verb set is on the number keys. Esc pauses.
This is a prototype, and no one has played it before you. Whatever reads wrong, unfair, boring, or broken is exactly what this share is for — say so plainly.
Where the build actually is: flight, hunger, the four verbs, solitude and a narrated ending all run start to finish. A shipped life is built to run two to four hours; this build's clock is still compressed for testing, so a life today runs about ten minutes — you'll die more than once in a sitting, and that's fine, it's what the compression is for. Weather, predators and a full underwater biome aren't built yet.
